Dear Parent/Guardian:
Believe it or not, but school will be back in session in less than a month. I hope you and your family have had an enjoyable and safe summer. Please read through the following as we have a lot of important information to share.
Enrollment will be on July 31 from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Hartford High School AND Neosho Rapids Elementary. We hope that this decreases wait times that have been long in the past. Please bring your son/daughter along with you, as he/she will need to sign many of the forms or may have questions.
If you should have a conflict with enrollment times, please call the office at 620-392-5515 or 620-342-7783 to schedule a time to enroll. As was the case last year, you may use a debit or credit card to pay fees this year (a 4% surcharge will apply).
Elementary students and parents will be provided with information regarding our wonderful PTO, new initiatives and programs, early childhood, and day care/after-school care options and availability.
High School and Junior High students have been enrolled in classes based upon their course requests done during the pre-enrollment process. A copy of your schedule will be available at enrollment and you may visit with Mrs. Nunley or Mrs. Kelley for any changes.
Seniors planning to enroll in dual credit classes through FHTC will need to complete the enclosed enrollment and high school student information form. Tuition and fees for these classes must be paid at enrollment. This year we are able to offer the following courses:
Fall
English Composition I ($300 + $25 textbook rental fee)
Spring
College Algebra ($300 + $50 textbook fee)
College Biology ($400 + $75 textbook fee)
English Composition II ($300 no textbook fee if paid for Comp I)
*students may purchase the textbook from another vendor and waive the rental fee
We encourage all families to fill out an application for free/reduced meals, even if you do not think your child(ren) will qualify. Applications are available online at www.usd252.org or can be completed at enrollment.
Technology Update: JH and HS computers will be checked out to students during enrollment this year. All technology fees must be paid prior to your student receiving his/her laptop. As before, 6th graders will keep their laptops at school and 7-12th graders will be able to bring them home.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer! I look forward to meeting you and your student(s) at enrollment.
Sincerely,
Mr. Douglas Hes
