Faculty, Staff, Parents, and Community Members,
Construction is moving along and changing daily. At Olpe, only a few areas were not touched by construction/upgrades this summer. Our custodial staff will not have complete access to all areas until August 12. It requires approximately 1 week to clean, prep, wax, and finish tile flooring. We have several areas that are dusty and require extra work before occupancy.
Therefore, we will start school Monday, August 26 in all USD 252 attendance centers. I appreciate all that our summer work crews have accomplished and the tasks yet in front of us!
Teachers: report on regularly scheduled days and please pay attention to the schedules from Mr. Hes and Mr. Clark!
-New teachers report on August 12
-Returning teachers report on August 14 (work day: 7:45 am-3:45 pm 2019-20 school term)
August 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, & 22 are in-service days
August 22: All USD 252 staff report to Olpe (classified and licensed) - Reminder that all all staff are required to attend this day 7:45 am
August 23: Work day and open houses
-Master 2019-20 In-service schedule emailed later this week with adjustments.
August 26: First day of school with 10 minutes added to the student daily schedule 8:00 am - 3:35 pm
Classified Staff: your report days will be moved 2-3 days. Please look at the upcoming letters from your Principals regarding adjustments and report time/days.
Daycare: we are waiting for completion of construction at Olpe and Neosho Rapids (upgrades) to get our licensure amended through KDHE.
We will have great facilities to move into and throughout our district! I appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation throughout the past 2+ years!
Have a great day/week!
Dr. Argabright
